Omorovicza Vitamin C
It's no secret by now that I'm a huge huge fan of using Vitamin C serums. While I struggle with other active ingredients, Vitamin C has delivered quick and visible results that have impressed me.
Naturally therefore, any new Vitamin C serum in the market grabs my interest, and the Omorovicza Daily Vitamin C serum is no exception!
I was very fortunate to be introduced the new Omorovicza Daily Vitamin C serum at a media launch, and thereafter, to spend some time using it, before I could form an opinion.
It's been almost 2 months that I've been using this Vitamin C serum exclusively (I never use Vitamin C serums alongside each other – only after I finish the previous one) so I think I'm able to now form an opinion. But more interestingly, will it be worth the money? It is very pricey!

The Daily Vitamin C serum is one of their new serums with active ingredients (the other is Acid Fix that I've been hmming and hawing over for months but can't decide what to make of it LOL! 😛 ). It being a Vitamin C serum, I was quick to rotate it into my product line-up, once I'd finished the previous Vitamin C serum I was using.
Omorovicza Daily Vitamin C – An Overview
Vitamin C serums are big right now, so it is unsurprising that many brands have jumped on that bandwagon. I am not complaining however, because it is an active ingredient that works, and in my case, works very well.
Generally speaking, Vitamin C will strengthen your skin and promote collagen stimulation, brighten your skin tone, lighten sun spots and act as an antioxidant to protect your skin from environmental aggresions.
In my case, I use Vitamin C serums religiously, to keep my skin even-toned and healthy.
Omorovicza says that the Daily Vitamin C serum is a potent dose of Vitamin C, to revive dull, lifeless skin and to promote an even-toned, luminous complexion.
It contains Vitamin C in the form of Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, and extracts of kiwiberry, which is rich in vitamin C and antioxidants.
It also contains Watercress Extract, Zinc and Niacinamide to inhibit melanin production, reduce pigmentation and correct skin tone for a brighter, more even complexion. It is also packed with hyaluronic acid, which we all know, boosts hydration.
It however, took me a while to get my head around the Omorovicza Vitamin C serum.
Omorovicza Daily Vitamin C – Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate
The Vitamin C used in the Omorovicza Daily Vitamin C serum is Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate.
Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate is a form of Vitamin C that is highly stable, and soluble in water. Because it is stable, it will not oxidize, or will not oxidize as quickly as Ascorbic Acid. This is a good thing in this product, because it is so expensive that it will be very stressful if it oxidizes quickly! 😛
However, experts suggest that it is just as effective as Ascorbic Acid, and will serve the same functions of using a Vitamin C – anti-aging, antioxidant, skin protection, brightening the skin etc. Anecdotal evidence however, seem to point to it being a little less effective than Ascorbic Acid. I personally don't have much of an opinion 😛
While looking up some information on Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, I found out that it is an ingredient that also fights acne, due to its anti-microbial effects. It is also less irritating to the skin than Ascorbic Acid. For this reason, it has been touted as an ingredient to look out for, if you suffer from acne and breakouts, as it will help curtail that, and make your skin stronger to boot! 🙂
What's the percentage of Vitamin C?
I have tried to find the information, but there is no information on the percentage of Vitamin C in the product. I will update if I have the information at a later date.
I do like to know, because when it comes to Vitamin C, I'm a proponent of "the higher the better" LOL! 😛 That's because I use different brands and different types of Vitamin C products, and it helps me transition from one to the other.
Also, from experience, the higher the concentration of Vitamin C in a serum, the more effective it is, and the more quickly you'll see results. However, it can potentially also be more irritating for those with very sensitive skins. So knowing the percentage is helpful.
I am going to stick my neck out and say however, that I do not believe that the percentage of Vitamin C in the serum is very high. The reason is because I found this to be less effective at brightening my skin, and keeping it bright and clear, than other Vitamin C serums I use.
Do I like the Omorovicza Daily Vitamin C Serum?
My answer will be Yes and No.
Yes, I like the Daily Vitamin C serum, because it is a pleasure to use.
The lightweight milky serum is hydrating, and feels very comfortable on the skin. While it looks like a lotion, it absorbs quickly, and leaves no residue. I have dry skin, and it feels comfortable. Vitamin C serums can sometimes feel drying. This does not.
The recommendation is to use 2 drops each time.
The delivery system is very clever, so once you twist off the cap, it will draw the correct amount of product into the pippette. You then drop 2 drops in your palm and apply it to your skin.
I however, don't 😛
I use the whole pump, which approximates 3 drops, with each use. I only use it in the day time, as part of my morning routine, as I use other actives at night.
While it is a very comfortable serum, I did not experience the sort of luminosity of skin that so many other people using it have claimed to experience.
The Daily Vitamin C serum doesn't deliver the results I expect
It must be said however, that I am a very regular user of Vitamin C serums. When I judge a Vitamin C serum therefore, I do not judge it as someone new to the ingredient.
I do not expect a glowing bright complexion, because I know my limits, and because I treat each new Vitamin C product as one to sustain my results.
I had just come off a serum boasting 20% Vitamin C, in the first 2 weeks, I noticed a dip in skin luminosity. It is for this reason that I say that the percentage of Vitamin C in this Daily Vitamin C serum is not very high. It definitely isn't 20%. I'm not even sure if it's 10%.
After 2 weeks, my complexion stabilized. It continued being even-toned and bright. But it wasn't a drastic improvement by any stretch of imagination.
Again, I must stress that this is because I am an avid user of Vitamin C serums, and have been for a few years. My skin is probably used to the ingredient, and might even be at its optimum. Anything I use therefore serves to maintain that level.
However, if you are brand new to the ingredient, then there is every possibility that you will notice a more significant result. You shouldn't expect miracles however.
Will I repurchase when I'm done?
I struggle to say yes, so I won't 😛
I will say that it is an excellent product in terms of its packaging, its chosen ingredients, and its texture. It screams luxury in the heft of its frosted glass bottle, its clever delivery system, and the lush texture of the serum.
It is however, prohibitively priced.
There are many brands of Vitamin C serums in the market, some more affordable than others. The last one I used that was priced at about the same level of the Daily Vitamin C serum was the Zelens Power C Treatment Drops. That blew me away with its efficacy and I will happily plonk down money for it.
This Omorovicza Daily Vitamin C serum however, feels a little more basic. It's a good product, but it isn't great. It didn't blow me away, and make me see stars. It didn't make me want to irrationally whip out my credit card and impulsively buy another bottle.
I like it, but I'm not passionate about it, and once I'm done, I'd move on without too much regret.
So, I say get this if your budget allows for it, and you want a stable Vitamin C serum that feels very comfortable and almost gentle on skin. It is a good product, but if you're not a Vitamin C virgin, you'd probably just find it a little meh <- yes, that's an adjective LOL! 😛
IN A NUTSHELL
The Omorovicza Daily Vitamin C serum is a lightweight milky texture serum that absorbs easily into the skin without leaving any residue. The Vitamin C used is Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, which is very stable, so you will not have to worry about your product oxidizing. It feels very gentle and comfortable, although I did not experience any drastic skin brightening. It however, kept my skin happy in the 2 months that I've been using it. If you are new to using Vitamin C then I think you may notice a more significant result. But if you have already been using Vitamin C serums, then you likely will not notice much of anything, although it will help maintain your skin luminosity. Get this only if your budget allows.
